School's Out  provides WCA families with emergency communications via email in the event of emergencies, delays, schedule changes or cancellations that affect our school's schedule.  School's Out can send you an email (free service) or cell phone text message alert with School's Out Plus (School's Out Plus is $19.95 a year). Subscribe here:  https://www.schoolsout.com/  and choose Washington Christian Academy under Maryland Private Schools.  Follow the instructions for free email alerts and continue on to be given the option to join School's Out Plus if you like as well.

In the event of inclement weather WCA follows Montgomery County Public School decicions for closings, delays and early dismissals.

US Students interested in finding out more about Model UN (this year's conference will be at Catholic University Feb 5-8) should attend informational meetings during lunches in the Student Cafe on Wednesday, January 7 or speak to Nate Strong or Nathanael Kreimeyer.  Find out more HERE.

Preparing for a journey into the world of postsecondary education can be a lengthy and confusing process.  The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) is hosting a free webinar on Thursday, January 15 with information to help you learn more about the college search process and how to get the most out of the National College Fair.  WCA Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to sign up for the event.  More details HERE.  To register click HERE.

Save Saturday, January 31 on your calendar for the Junior Class-sponsored Snow Ball, a 'retro prom' for parents and other adults.  Invitations will be mailed at the end of December.

Plan to join in on the fun:  Saturday, February 28th.  All WCA families are encouraged to donate an item to the auction or seek a donation from a business.  Donation forms are available in the Advancement Offrice and HERE.  If you have questions please contact auction@washingtonchristian.org .

Please remember to check your child's lunch account weekly at https://www.mymealtime.com/signin.aspx to be sure there are sufficient funds.  If your child's account is low, your child will be permitted to purchase up to $6 worth of food on credit (this will more than cover one lunch).  After that, they will need to bring a lunch from home until there are funds in the account. You can add funds online with a credit card or avoid extra fees by sending in a check (minimum $40 please) with your child to be turned in at homeroom or at the office first thing in the morning.  Monthly Menus are posted here:  Menus.  Please note the new K-2 ordering procedures detailed in the recent parent letter (also posted with the menus) and new prices for Meal Deals as of Jan 5.  If you have questions about your account or cannot log on contact Julie Bridges at extension 313 or jbridges@washingtonchristian.org .
